Hi, excused that question, it's more hardware related.. and my first one here. :)
Having a setup in MS Windows where midi controller from the manufacturer Novation using there homemade "Automap" software.
It has a nice GUI, mapping the hardware layout, and more interesting, doing some math to values the controller sends.
We can setup ranges in minus area, also 14bit, and do some small math with points and size subdivide that range.
This is all done over specialized USB connections, not using the midi specification.. as I understand right.
Sadly we can't do that on the hardware itself.
Is there a known way doing the math simply as entering the values and bring them to midi before or within Ardour?
This time I'm using Jack2, Ardour 5 with actual 9.5.1 PPA in Ubuntu 18.04.
Thanks! ( And also excused that bad english, I try my best :)

Re: Doing some easy math to (14bit) midi controller values
Me again..
this time, and some weeks before, I have some succsess realize it within pure data and its ctlin/ctlout and some expr.
But it is much to complicated to setup the whole controllers and all the CCs, MSBs ans LSBs.
So I'm searching something that can between the jack connection and the DAW, doing only that few math that we need.
Thanks!

Re: Doing some easy math to (14bit) midi controller values
Hey!
Last days I only search and read much pages, found no easy solution yet. But this time I am reading this, and the first few informations sounds nice..
https://open-music-kontrollers.ch/lv2/moony/
http://dsacre.github.io/mididings/doc/index.html
Hope I get the mood to learn a bit more.. ;) or find a simpler way.
But please also tell me if one knows a solution..
I *think*, only the steps to configure in a given CC (LSB and/or MSB) range, is what I'm missing now in that hardware controllers and some (most?) DAWs.
Thanks.
