Bluetooth Audio

Post by akveth »

Hi.

Someone sent me a pair of nice "pro" bluetooth headphones as a gift, and I was trying to connect them to my multimedia center (just an old laptop with Ubuntu/Kodi connected to a large TV Screen) and to my desktop workstation (where I have Ubuntu Studio/KXStudio and my main goal to use those headphones).

The headphones are working perfectly in the Ubuntu/Kodi though ALSA & pulse-audio (I had to install "pulseaudio-module-bluetoot" but then i just have to select it from the drop-down menu). The audio quality it's good and the latency it's not bad at all for bluetooth.

Unfortunately, in my main Ubuntu Studio/KXStudio I haven't been able to make them work as an audio device. I already connected and pair the device via pulse-audio and the bluetooth setup GUI, but I see no additional audio interfaces are shown in Cadence's settings. I tried to send audio to every single one of them, but nothing in the headphones.

Is this even possible to do? If so... How?

Thanks!
