I fully support ardour's decision here, this is really showing being "courageous" ;)

It wont be a rose-garden.

I am closing this topic, I keep forgetting to update things here when I publish updates.
seems the wrong way to go about write micro-posts anyway.

To follow discussion on changes regarding the repos, star/watch the project at https://github.com/KXStudio/Repository/issues/
The stuff that gets included in the KXStudio ISO gets priority.

I decided to revert the decision on the locking :P
We need a way to know when new stuff is added.
Updates for existing packages are often easy to do, dont need much mentioning. Unless it is a big bump, like muse 2=>3 and LMMS, where the way to build them changed quite a bit...

In any case, 2 new packages were added.
sequencer64: https://github.com/ahlstromcj/sequencer64/
adlplug: https://github.com/jpcima/ADLplug

because of requirements for building sequencer64, only users with gcc5 repos enabled can have it.
14.04 is starting to show its age...

adlplug includes both opl3 and opn2 models.

never mind. it's going to reach its EOL just in half a year. and everyone should be aware of it.

at the moment, 16.04 is super stable, so there are no real reasons not to migrate to it.

and 18.04 will become really usable in just a few months too (as it always happens with any Ubuntu LTS release)
