Package updates in the KXStudio repositories

Postby falkTX » Mon Apr 24, 2017 8:06 am

I miss having a forum topic to discuss the latest changes / updates made in the repositories, so I'm creating one now.
Please don't use this topic for requests, for that use https://github.com/KXStudio/Repository/issues instead.

The updates on this topic started on 2017-04-24.

Update non-mixer/timeline/session-manager to latest git version.

I redid the Pull-Request for LV2 support in non-mixer.
For those not using KXStudio repos, grab the patch here:
https://github.com/falkTX/non/commit/87 ... 8727.patch

A few more updates: (latest git of these packages)
guitarix, gxtonebender, infamous-plugins, rkrlv2

And x42-plugins updated to 20161230

With those updates we get rid of the ugly warnings/errors on the terminal when starting LV2 hosts.

a few more today:

drumkv1, samplv1 and synthv1 updated to 0.8.2.
these no longer include the embeddable qt5 ui in gcc5 builds, as it caused issues in ardour.
external ui still works though.

qjackctl updated to 0.4.5
gcc5 repo builds now use qt5.

zam-plugins updated to 0.3.8

wtf? embeddable qt5 what? is that something brewing stinky/fishy on the SUIL front? one that probably goes blindly incorporated in ardour5.8+git without any kind of appeal?

good stuff (with a sarcastic *grin* i must :/)
enjoy yours

suil got qt5-on-gtk2 support recently. latest ardour builds ship with this.

but because the ardour qt5 builds come from debian stretch, its libs are not compatible with Ubuntu 16.04 (stretch is newer).
it's only missing symbols in libsuil_qt5_in_gtk2.so, so only happened when in embed mode.
the external ui still works fine.

also btw, qtractor updated to 0.8.2 just now ;)

no kidding ?

problem is, when dealing for instance under yours truly qtractor (any recent version), the vee-ones will miss some amenities (for which some of its users might get grumpy, i expect): the plugin's external-ui window positioning won't get remembered across sessions, most surely re-appearing in who-knows-where some evil-WM-in-charge dictates. :)

thanks. much appreciated
nevertheless.

Open Music Kontrollers plugins added, see https://open-music-kontrollers.ch/lv2/
This includes:
- eteroj.lv2
- midi-matrix.lv2
- moony.lv2
- sherlock.lv2
- vm.lv2

The patchmatrix and synthpod applications added too.
Carla has been fixed to handle plugins with multiple lv2 midi/event output ports, so that these plugins now work on it.

With this, LAC2017 is over..
