[Solved] Just updated kde4init using 99% cpu

Dear All,

Just did some updates moments ago in my linuxmint 17.1 cinnamon os with kxstudio repos. Before suggested updates my system was using about 6 percent cpu and not much more. After the updates and I do not know exactly what was updated, the cpu temps went from 6 degrees c to 54.2 degrees c.
I checked htop and it says kdeinit and kdeglobalaccel are using 99 percent cpu. This is kde4, I believe. Any suggestions on what to do?

Thank you. After installing xubuntu-desktop, a couple of reboots, then going back to cinnamon that cpu issue is gone. However, now my ethernet network is not working. Thanks for leading me to kubuntu forums. Will ask there.
