Re: KXStudio Website has moved
I see why you chose to make changes after reading a bit about Sourceforge. At any rate, it appears to be a seamless smooth transition from my view point. I just performed updates and everything appears to work just like it always does. Many Thanks!

Re: KXStudio Website has moved
Good move, it seems that Sourceforge is dying fast, and Github is much better and more modern in many ways.
Please, avoid some common spelling errors:

Great move!
I was about to ask you to move away from SourceForge.
Package updates worked flawlessly for me too.
Thanks!

Re: KXStudio Website has moved
I noticed the other day a post saying the SourceForge hosted repos were back, although the website wasn't. Just taken my laptop to a cafe with internet and running sudo apt-get update and I still get this bunch of message at the end. Should I be worried or can you let me know how to manually edit them to the news ones if possible.
A sudo apt-get upgrade -f seem to run successfully this time so hopefully most things are fixed...
EDIT: No it didn't! Although it did install a handful of packages it didn't even attempt to before it still fails on the dpf-plugins and then wont allow a normal upgrade or anything any new packages to be installed at all!!

I haven't installed anything! All I have done is install KXStudio from scratch just under a week ago and run update && upgrade and it got me in this mess!falkTX wrote:damn sourceforge why you have to be so nasty.
anyway, this is a known issue and will only be fully resolved when sourceforge websites come back online.
until then you can install the "kxstudio-repos" package update, and then do a system update as usual.
regarding the distrho-plugins-lv2 package, it's a very old package you have installed (very old...)
just remove it.
Re: KXStudio Website has moved
Tried apt-get installing the repos and removing the offending files and always get these errors!
Should I download the .deb and install as if I was coming from Debian/Ubuntu from here?

Re: KXStudio Website has moved
I went and installed the repos from the link as if it was a Debian/Ubuntu install and that fixed the Update command. Still getting the other errors though.
Following your steps I stopped after the third one as errors were persisting exactly as before. Guess maybe remove entire plugins pack and reinstall....
EDIT: I appear to have it working.
Rather than removing distrho-plugins-lv2 as you recommended (wouldn't remove with similar errors about dpf-plugins and kxstudio-meta-audio-plugins) I had to run:
sudo dpkg -r kxstudio-meta-audio-all
sudo dpkg -r kxstudio-meta-audio-plugins
in that order and it now seems to be successfully doing a Dist-Upgrade

I ran a sudo apt-get install kxstudio-meta-audio* after Dist-Upgrade and it seemed to already have nearly all the packages already so let it install the remaining. This seems to have included those you mention above.
Going to restart the system and see if it's helped with the GUI bug or not...

Re: KXStudio Website has moved
I'm having trouble with this
I am still using wheezy on my main machine, as I upgraded on 2 test machines and ran into some Problems.
I hope wheezy is still supported!!
on "sudo apt-get install kxstudio-repos"
I get the following dependency conflict:
Hängt ab von (vorher): libc6 (>= 2.19~) aber 2.13-38+deb7u8 soll installiert werden
meaning
depends on (before): libc6 (>= 2.19~) but 2.13-38+deb7u8 is asked to be installed.
and of course apt-get update runs into an Error with http://kxstudio.sourceforge.net/repo/di ... 4/Packages 404 Not Found
and three more sourceforge repos.
On trying to install "kxstudio-repos_9.0.0~kxstudio1_all.deb" I run into the same conflict with libc6 (>= 2.19~) and 2.13-38+deb7u8
What can I/should I do?

Last night I tried to update to the new repos. I deleted the old sources lists and installed the package from the new website.
But I'm getting this error.
Reinstalled and got the same. I thought the server might be busy or down and waited for the morning. Today I deleted the lists and installed once again. Same errors. How to proceed?
Thanks.
But I'm getting this error.
