Carla and MIDI Volume question

This question relates to the MIDI audio level in Carla rack devices.

Example:
I am running, jack + an Edirol UA25 soundcard, Rosegarden Sequencer and load a MIDI file and send the MIDI output from Rosegarden to Fluid R3 GM soundfont module running inside Carla. The volume levels in the Rosegarden MIDI file are already preset on all tracks to be around the 100 level. I am using a Bass Guitar plugged into the Edirol UA25 to jam along and play back the combined output from Carla and the Bass via the UA25 to some speakers.

It appears as if the Fluid plugin in the Carla rack possibly picks up MIDI volume settings on all 16 channels from the Rosegarden tracks and then settles the MIDI volume on the last received volume setting? (Not 100% sure if this is how it works, just a guess?).

The problem is that everytime a track is restarted it resets the Carla overall MIDI volume level to whatever it last received from the sequencer (presumably this would be MIDI Volume CC's from any of the 16 MIDI tracks) and this then causes havoc with trying to balance out audio levels between Carla and the Bass Guitar's output every time a track is restarted.

So apart from manually having to edit volume levels on every track on every MIDI file in one's collection (painful) in an attempt to workaround this issue, is there perhaps another solution or a way to filter out MIDI volume control change messages in Carla?

Another possible solution may be to add a MIDI volume control to the Carla plugins which does not respond to MIDI control change messages and which has to be dialled in manually via a mouse?

Apologies for the dumb questions, I'm trying to approach this from an end user perspective, couldn't find documentation which relates to this and don't have the technical knowledge and experience with KXStudio's environment to know any better at this stage.
