Jack doesn't works

Post by carlos »

Hi, I'm on KXStudio 12.04, Linux kxstudio32 3.8.0-32-lowlatency #24-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT Tue Oct 15 20:28:21 UTC 2013 i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux

Everything was working flawlessly, but lately, after some updates, jack doesn't works at all. I've tried to configure it in cadence, but non of all the options I've tried had success.

My sound card is a Terratec DMX6Fire

Code: Select all

 cat /proc/asound/cards /proc/asound/modules
 0 [DMX6Fire ]: ICE1712 - TerraTec DMX6Fire
                      TerraTec DMX6Fire at 0xe800, irq 17
 1 [Loopback ]: Loopback - Loopback
                      Loopback 1
 0 snd_ice1712
 1 snd_aloop

Here is the log:

eh realtime priority 10?

Not sure if it would make a difference but thats pretty low. MIne is 85

also waht about input and output device which are set to none.

Yeah, I did try a lot of settings here, none of it worked, even 85,
this is default cadence setup, If i'm not wrong.
I know 10 is pretty low, it was the last one I tried.

As far as I know this is the default setup for using inputs and outputs from selected device.
Anyway, I have a Lubuntu-14.04 installation, with KXStudio repos, working beautifuly again :)

Thanks for your response, bazsound.
