Low buffer sizes, Cadence/Jack..

Post by Rory »

Jack refuses to start whenever I set my buffer size to 64? I can use any buffer size but 64. Also, Cadence seems to hang after Jack refuses to start, and when it does come around I can hang it again by hitting one of the config or restart buttons. Any ideas?

Well, this isn't an explanation of what you are seeing but it's an excellent resource for configuring Jack: http://www.linuxmusicians.com/viewtopic ... 47&t=10707

Music? Not so serious. Have some fun! :D

Thanks Anthony. Useful info, but it still don't explain why I can't run with a sample size of 64? Or maybe it does and I'm just missing it! It's no big deal. It only became a problem when I needed to step through samples contained in the jack buffer. Having only 64 samples to step through would have saved me some time :)

I'm sure I read something about this recently but I can't remember where or what it said exactly. I have a feeling it might have been on the wiki and might be a bug in one of the versions of Jack (or perhaps in something else).

Sorry for such vague information.
