Claudia, Ardour3 and Jack Session

Post by RockHopper »

Hi, I'm finding my feet in KXStudio having used AVLinux for some time. So far I've managed to get my head round about session management in Claudia but I'm having trouble opening previously saved projects when Ardour3 is started in Jack Session mode.

When I save a project in Claudia the following files are saved in ~/ladish-projects/TestProject/Ardour3_87324 :
  • JS_2013-04-18T15:59:47.ardour
    JS_2013-04-18T15:59:47.history
So far so good. However, when I later attempt to load the project, Ardour3 refuses to open its session file, complaining that file names must not conatin the ":" character. If I rename the above files, replacing each ":" with a "-", and edit "ladish-project.xml" to reflect the name changes, the project opens and Ardour's session is restored without a hitch.

Is there a setting somewhere which would allow me to change Ardour's session-file name-"template?"

KXStudio 12.04.1
Claudia 0.8~beta2-0
Ardour 3.1-1+fixed1

Ardour3 does the same thing with jack-session in QJackctl.

So I guess they never fixed the jack-session support, heh... :(
Nope. I was hoping the last update would have fixed it. I assume this means there's more to it than the name of the snapshot.

Thanks for the quick replies! I see Ardour 3.1 has Non Session Management support so I might give that a try and see how it goes...
