In your screenshot you have it set up to use 2 ins and 2 outs when apparently you have 4 ins and outs?
I know I've had JACK fail to start because in the past on some devices because the ins and outs were set incorrectly - sometimes you have to set them both to 0.

Re: Trouble getting Reaper working
Hey Dan,
Regarding the Alesis outputs, that may be an issue; it has the option for 4 at 24-bit, or 2 at 16-bit; maybe that's what's causing the issues. I've tried both options, and also tried setting Jack to 0.
I'll try some other things in a day or two, off to rehearse for now. Looking forward to future developments with the tutorials, maybe I'll give KX a break till the docs are done.
Cheers,
h.
