Hello!
I would propose abique/vst bridge
https://github.com/abique/vst-bridge

It looks interesting, and if it really works
it would be nice to have some (win)VSTs
directly in non-vst Ardour (with all respect
to Carla of course) so personally I would
use it a lot :D

Greets.
Vrangor.

I think the point is that tux-guitar needs certain things, but it doesn't actually need pulseaudio
It doesn't , though, you can look at

Code: Select all

apt-cache depends tuxguitar
yourself
I did try the --no-install-recommends and that didn't work.
works for me.
Ok, yes, I can install tuxguitar that way, but not tuxguitar-jack, that still screws with my current JACK install. When I run tuxguitar having installed it without recommends, it crashes if I go to the sound settings, and I otherwise have no sound. I want to use it with KXStudio of course…

I don't know if you've seen this, but its really interesting - https://github.com/adamtnash/midi-blocks

its a drag and drop canvas type interface for a bunch of midi things to do, including use of the clam network to turn audio to midi. Its really cool!

Cheers

My first post here. Thanks F for your work on KXStudio. I've been trying it this week and it's really neat.

I'd love to see SuperCollider (and supercollider-plugins!) in the KXStudio repositories and in the live DVD. I often use bootable USBs when I teach electronic music workshops, and it would be awesome to have SuperCollider in the KXStudio ISO!

http://supercollider.sourceforge.net

Anyway, I know that's probably not a high priority -- thanks again for everything and keep up the great work!

I don't know if it's necessary for people, but I use Clementine-Player and its remote control for android... and needs clementine 1.2.1>
it's a excellent music player, and the remote control app it's very useful.
on the website of clementine there is a ppa, but is ideal for me not add extra repositories.

Thanks! :D
Óliver.

hmm... why?
well, it's only for convenience, since when a new version of KXStudio I reinstall from scratch (besides home folder) and often forget backup the PPAs ...
but you're right ! thanks for the work!

there's tuxguitar 1.3 snapshot version with *.gpx (Guitar Pro 6.x) support.

Haven't tried to build it myself yet, but seems like it works
