I'm sorry mate, I was jokingly referring to you as quickdraw, because you packaged it so darn fast!! It was a complimentary joke ;)

Will be trying it out tomorrow :D

mx44.2 conflits with mx44, since the binary names are the same.
Thanks FalkTX. Does this ^^^ mean there will be problems doing the install? or will the first version be deleted?

Yay! plasma-widget-redshift is now packaged!!! :D

This means KDE redshift is now as easy and simple as it has been for gtk-redshift (which was always there). Actually the plasma widget has far more options and power than the gtk so it's superior. Besides on/off and easy settings, you can quickly hover and scroll-wheel (or two-finger scroll on trackpad) to adjust the effect, and quickly click to go back to basic settings.

Besides being better for your eyes and good for sleep cycles, this is useful for on-stage performance where you want to still see but want a reddened screen to be not so harsh or noticeable…

Everyone should try it now!

Only question is: how do I get rid of my compiled version in order to have the repo install?? :?:

Thanks falkTX. :)

I've noticed that amSynth, Triceratops and SuperCollider have newer version available, although what I'd really like to see in Triceratops is a way to save patches.. I don't know if that's the new change or not though..

That's already in the main regular repos. Why do you want KXStudio to do anything extra with it?

falk,

when I do a apt-get update it tells me there's a duplicate in two places. (i386 and non-free, if I remember correctly)
What should be done?

Also, the update didn't list mx44.2...

thanks in advance..

Sorry bout that:

Code: Select all

W: Duplicate sources.list entry http://packages.medibuntu.org/ precise/free i386 Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/packages.medibuntu.org_dists_precise_free_binary-i386_Packages)
W: Duplicate sources.list entry http://packages.medibuntu.org/ precise/non-free i386 Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/packages.medibuntu.org_dists_precise_non-free_binary-i386_Packages)
W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems

falkTX wrote:yeah, that, it's LinuxMint fault for breaking the kxstudio-repos package...! :(

just do:

Code: Select all

sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list
and everything will be back to normal.
Thanks falk! Worked like a charm!

Hi, there is a new version of rosegarden and I can't get it to compile on (kx)kubuntu 12.04.2
An updated binary in the repos would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi
I'm mentioned above Nootka dev...
Thanks a lot for warm words - it supports me much.
I would like to ask you for some help to make Nootka totally free from PulseAudio.
"Audio engine" of it is based on Qt Multimedia framework but it is unfortunately depending on PA for all Debian/Ubuntu distributions.
Rpmish ones and Arch haven't got this problem.
The thing is to rebuild and replace libqtmultimediakit1 without pulseaudio plugin. I've browsed already source package but I never did this before so I have no idea how to generate such package.
Maybe you can help...

Hi SeeLook! I was going to update the bug at SourceForge but didn't have something definite to say yet. FalkTX, the guy who makes KXStudio says he already worked on helping to get this to work! I talked to him about it, and he did something and seemed like he knew what to do! However, the full update he made isn't ready yet, so I didn't have any actual news to share with you. FalkTX should reply himself soon and let you know more details!

So glad you are such a thoughtful developer! And supporting KDE so well is perfect for KXStudio. I really look forward to trying Nootka and suggesting it to all my students! Cheers!
