lenmus music education program
I have just tested the last version of lenmus for linux and it works great. It now includes the lomse libraries within the lenmus package. I have installed the deb from:
https://code.launchpad.net/~lenmus-phon ... rchive/ppa
There is a version (5.3.2-0~713~ubuntu12.04.1) that installs perfect in my latest kxstudio.
lenmus is a great music theory education program with text explanations, listening examples (hook it to a synth player) and exercises for practice. Including it would give it the relevance it deserves.
Thanks.

Re: Package requests here! (New and updates)
The linux version before this latest didnt install well, so I had been using the version for another platform with wine. The author has dispersed different versions in sourceforge and launchpad, and only this mentioned deb works well in kxstudio. For someone wanting to install lenmus it would be easy to get a non working version from one of the dispersed packages, so including it in the repository would explicitly point to a proven (thats what I report) working package.

Re: Package requests here! (New and updates)
There is no deb package, so it can't be installed on Debian without compiling.gazpacho wrote:The linux version before this latest didnt install well, so I had been using the version for another platform with wine. In the link:There is no deb package, so it can't be installed on Debian without compiling.

Click on "View package details", click triangular arrow to expand for your ubuntu version and voilá.

Yeah.. I guess I keep hopeful that some of that "olde stuff" will still work!falkTX wrote:arts? what is that, ...KDE1?
software released in 1998-2000.
I'm happy to see the requests and will start handling as much as possible soon (after carla2.0 beta1 next week),
BUT, sorry, that ftp folder is out of question.
Well, Nick's amSynth is in its new release:

Re: Package requests here! (New and updates)
I'm shocked that Guitarix isn't updated. I thought that was so essential, nobody needed to say anything. 0.28.3 came out like months ago with very substantial updates, not just minor. I assumed it would be known about and updated in KXStudio right away
Please get that updated!
Thanks so much!

Re: Package requests here! (New and updates)
The debian kxstudio repos don't include qmidiarp, whose latest version allows for live midi control of tempo changes, and includes lv2 plugins.
Also, could the latest git version of musescore be packaged? I think all the pyqt5 dependencies are already in the repos.
And a final question to falktx... Is there a way I can help you packaging for debian wheezy? I have no experience packaging, so I wouldn't go for dev libs, but I can assist getting plugins and applications compiled...
Thanks!

Re: Package requests here! (New and updates)
debian has qmidiarp in its' own reposapt-cache policy qmidiarp
qmidiarp:
Installed: 0.6.0-1
Candidate: 0.6.0-1
Version table:
*** 0.6.0-1 0

Re: Package requests here! (New and updates)
That's debian sid. Wheezy only has 0.5.2 which doesn't include the lv2 plugins and it's tempo is not realtime modifyablelazyklimm wrote:debian has qmidiarp in its' own reposapt-cache policy qmidiarp
