Been offline for a while, so I'm not sure when this started happening, but I'm quite sure it used to work a month ago at least. I have KXStudio installed on top of Ubuntustudio 12.4. Cadence and Claudia set to autostart on startup.
On startup, a default studio ("Studio XXXXXXXXXX") is loaded fine. I try to load a previously saved studio:
1) Click on Load Studio button, select the studio
2) Studio loaded, not running. Click Studio->Start Studio
3) I get a popup in Claudia saying "Execution Halted / Something went wrong with ladish so the last action was not sucessful." Clicking on "Show Details..." : "run: Starting JACK server failed."
4) I get an XFCE notice saying "JACK start failed / You may want to inspect the JACK log file." ~/.log/jack/jackdbus.log reads:

5) I click OK in the Claudia pop up, then Force Restart JACK in Cadence (Start doesn't work successfully).
6) I get a Cadence popup "JACK was re-started successfully" and a Claudia popup "ladish daemon has crashed".
7) OK the Cadence popup. OKing the Claudia popup just results in a blank slate in Claudia. GOTO 1.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Re: Problems loading previously saved studio
Hi falkTX,
Recently, I've found that even using previously configured ladish sessions will crash jack. I have to create a new studio and room before I can import my existing projects.
Trying to reload existing ladish studio configurations ALWAYS crashes Jack. It's been like this for a while now. Virtually unusable. Anyone else having this problem?
Barney

Re: Problems loading previously saved studio
I guess others are having this issue too, but, just to verify, the studio I'm trying to load was created just a few days ago with the same soundcard that's still in my system, M1010LT.falkTX wrote:There are some situations that can make ladish studios crash, one of them being the sound device used in the studio not being available anymore.
Is this the case?

Re: Problems loading previously saved studio
I'm new to this, but yes: This was my experience just now. I patched everything I wanted patched together, did a "Save" and then later the same day re-opened Claudia and tried to Load the saved file. Viewing "details" shows no detail at all (other than a date). To whit, the entire "details" window consists of:m.lp.ql.m wrote: ↑Sat Nov 24, 2012 12:07 amI guess others are having this issue too, but, just to verify, the studio I'm trying to load was created just a few days ago with the same soundcard that's still in my system, M1010LT.falkTX wrote:There are some situations that can make ladish studios crash, one of them being the sound device used in the studio not being available anymore.
