Happy Hacktoberfest!

Post by raboof »

Have you always wanted to get started with contributing to FLOSS?

Like every year, in October there's a bunch of events all around the world around helping people to contribute to open source under the banner of DigitalOcean's "hacktoberfest" (https://hacktoberfest.digitalocean.com/).

Since we can't meet in real life right now, perhaps we should do a bit of "asynchronous hacktoberfest" here: for October, *any* question is most welcome here in the Developer's Section, no matter how basic/silly it may seem.

I highly recommend choosing a project you're already familiar with "as a user" for your first contributions.

Having trouble finding the sources for a project in the first place? Want help building a piece of software from source? Running into trouble making your first pull request? Anything else? Fire away!
