I'm trying to get the timbre of the synthesizer sounds in my favourite song

Hello there,
I don't know where exactly to put this question, but I'm trying to get a grasp on a certain sound I specifically really admire.
It's the 'synth bell' sound in the song 'Faces' by 'Clio' from 1985.

I've been experimenting with certain bell sounds but nothing really 'gets there' if you know what I'm trying to say.
If anybody has any clues, both theory as tool wise.
If I could get a similar sound using open-source software would be pretty cool but I'm open for other tools (like vst's) as well. At the moment I'm running Fedora 30 without wine but that shouldn't withhold me from experimenting any further.
Even getting a way of decent sampling/a decent sample would be cool.
The song was probably recorded with expensive analog equipment and it will probably not be possible to get the 'exact' sound, but getting somewhere the ballpark is 'radical' enough for me. (Wasn't that the hip word back then, I'm young myself though.)
If someone has any clue, idea, ... for the bell - or the other sounds like the synth 'stabs' - I'd love to hear them!
Thanks in advance,
