Re: DIY stereo microphone
I'm afraid the designer doesn't have the slightest clue on stereophonic recording. The way the capsules are pointed, you have an a/b with swapped channels.

Could you say something more on that matter?spm_gl wrote:The way the capsules are pointed, you have an a/b with swapped channels.
Re: DIY stereo microphone
"Rather than spend big bucks on a stereo mic setup that won’t offer me the low quality sound that I am accustomed to, I have decided to build my own"
Seems like she set the bar kinda low.

Re: DIY stereo microphone
Worst stereo recording arrangement I've ever seen.
Please, don't copy it and learn how to do it properly instead.
You don't need anything special except a pair of identical (matched, ideally) mics (well, except for M/S).
The net is full of good (and bad, apparently) tutorials. Look for articles that contain at least these acronyms: XY, AB, ORTF, M/S.
Wikipedia is a nice start, as always: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stereophonic_sound.
P.S.
we need a facepalm emoticon: m(
