Interesting
, but I don't have time to test it now..
edit: is this the first Gentoo 'multimedia' distribution?

Re: gentoo Bardix
Very interesting, I may try it but not right now, to busy being ill.
There has been an "audio" overlay since as long as I use Gentoo (at least 5 years). Not specific a distro, just a more audio tailored install/options. Never tried it either.

Re: gentoo Bardix
Is it hard to build your own linux distribution, based on an existing one (e.g Gentoo or something else)?
Re: gentoo Bardix
Not the faintest idea. But I feel it has to be rather hard. You have to select the packages, test if it all fits together (this is the hardest I think) and then make it a coherent lot. Maybe you'll need artwork, something like an installer, server space etc. Tracking updates, security issues etc. And when everything is done it starts all over again.
