LibraZiK 4 Released

What other apps and distros do you use to round out your studio?

LibraZiK 4 Released

Post by sub26nico »

LibraZiK 4 is now available, see this article :
https://librazik.tuxfamily.org/dotclear ... se&lang=en.
LibraZiK is a GNU/Linux audio-oriented distribution (as AV-Linux, UbuntuStudio, etc…). It is based on Debian Stable (Debian 11 Bullseye a.t.m). More information at LibraZiK’s website :

So happy to see the LibraZiK project hanging on. Because it offers arguably the biggest, rock-solid stable, pro-audio oriented repository, including custom Linux kernels. Our community should give it our full support, and not let LibraZiK fade away into oblivion.

Hello,

I have been using this distribution for something like 5 years now.

The Librazik Team (which I'm now part of) has been doing a great job over the time.

Happy to see that's things are still going forward !

Cheers

I would love to try it, but I couldn´t find any ISO or so to burn it in a USB stick. Is there any ISO for it? Thanks

There doesn't appear to be one. From what I gather you install Debian Bullseye first then once that is running you download a deb from them that adds their custom repository to your apt sources. Once done you install what ever LibraZik packages that you desire.

Here are different installation methods validated by the LibraZiK team. These installation methods can be done for 64-bit systems or for 32-bit systems.

Method 1 - Complete installation from a Debian (Bullseye):
https://librazik.tuxfamily.org/doc4/en/ ... ye_install

Method 2 - Update from a LibraZiK-3 to a LibraZiK-4
https://librazik.tuxfamily.org/doc4/en/ ... k3verslzk4

Regardless of the method used, the resulting system, after installation and configuration, will be the same.
