Re: ZynAddSubFX presets
By the way Louigi, maybe you could consider storing whole banks on your site instead of individual patches? It would make things easier for you, especially if people put lots of presets in a zipped folder, which is essentially a bank already, and send them to you all at once. (Like I did for instance.)
Re: ZynAddSubFX presets
hi all,
I've registered here because I use the zynaddsubfx and already have a collection of my own instruments, which contains some interesting sounds, like guitars and rich atmospheric pads and so on.

Re: ZynAddSubFX presets
I will consider this when the amount of submissions would be high. Atm I think it is fun to look through the presets. I can give a DOWNLOAD ALL button.
Alex J, should I add your collection to my site?

Re: ZynAddSubFX presets
Louigi Verona, yes, I agree, and if you need further information about the author, tell me. I'm from Russia, you can see it in the domain name (.ru) .
The collection could be named "Atmospheric pads collection", although there are some guitars and another instruments, including very specific ones...
Louigi Verona, thanks for your collection! some PR in web, and it could double easily, I think

Re: ZynAddSubFX presets
I want to say a late (as a new comer) thank you for this page and I look forward to checking out these presets when I get a chance. I will have to work on some of my own to contribute.

typing this at the terminal downloads all of them:Louigi Verona wrote:Page done. Awaiting your files, guys!

wget http://www.louigiverona.ru/files/zyn/ -r
I don't know an easy way to package them all in a bank though.

Re: ZynAddSubFX presets
Btw, yeah - a wget method is great! Maybe I should put that information on the page!
Re: ZynAddSubFX presets
If you don't mind all the server traffic, it would make things easier for a lot of people.
And adding the save directory under
File->Setting->Bank root dirs
adds it as a new bank to Zyn.

Re: ZynAddSubFX presets
in case they were missed, the zyn author has a large collection of multis,
sounds that are multitimbral, which are loaded using the 'open parameters' menu option.
http://zynaddsubfx.sourceforge.net/doc/instruments/
get the one labelled unsortedzynaddsubfxparameters
these don't go in banks, just a folder, so rename the ones you like in
a way useful to you, if you like.

Re: ZynAddSubFX presets
Coming a bit late to the party here, but now that falktx has basically got zyn working as an lv2 plugin, this tool seems more useful than ever. What would be *really* cool would be a sample of the audio of each preset (say a simple note progression followed by a chord progression). Also, it might be useful to optionally have a longer description of the preset (e.g. a description of what it sounds like, and how it was made), as that would really really help newbies along, I think.
I'm going to start using Zyn more now... I will see what I can come up with.
