AVB backend for pipewire discussion

What other apps and distros do you use to round out your studio?

AVB backend for pipewire discussion

Post by ophiuchia »

Dear all,

I noticed that pipewire upstream has a feature request for an AVB backend.
The main developer seems to be (very) supportive of the idea but may not be able to take on the work
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire ... ssues/1584

I thought about contributing but while I have Ethernet TSN programming experience and experience with running MOTU interfaces, I have virtually no experience with AVnu/Milan.

Hence, I'd like to ask the forum for ideas and invite discussions on this subject.

PS. I post on this forum as I follow the MOTU Ultralite AVB thread with a passion.
