Anyone has tried the Open Source Ninjam to jam with other musicians in real-time over the internet ?

I've not tried it, but here's some related links: https://wiki.thingsandstuff.org/Jamming

OK, thanks. There's good documentation but, ... what are your impressions after trying it ? What was the network setup ? Where were the other musicians ? Any drawbacks, things to consider, etc.. ?

It's many years since I last joined a group using it. it's a quite unique way of working. As I remember the person starting a session defines a fixed time signature, and also a phrase/verse length.
When playing to this you could be an entire verse ahead or behind other performers but will always be in sync. At the end of the session ninjam can sort out what the actual position of all the players would be.
It's good fun, but a really strange experience at first.
