Hi Guys
I'm just a beginner on Linux and I really need some help to config my system. I'm trying to use my old macbook Aluminium to run a Ubuntu OS with KXStudio, everything works fine when you select the onboard soundcard (hw:NVidia,0 [ALC998A Analog]) in JACK Settings, but when I turn it to (hw:USB,0 [USB Audio]), I got to capture audio from the scarlett 8i6 preamp (Channel 1 and 2) and others but I didn't get nothing from the audio output. I tried so many combinations at JACK Settings and connections unsuccessfully. Every help is welcome. Thanks

Hi,
you don't mention alsamixer so I suspect the output is muted as it happened recently to another newcomer.

Hi,
Thanks for your answer, I checked it but no success. I found a command to see all 8i6 internal mixer parameters:
#amixer --card 2 contents|more
The results are too long and everything seems to be right.
My last attempt was find an alternative to alsamixer because I thought a little confused, I tried a mixer called "QasMixer" and it's better than alsamixer because the parameters are easier to visualize and are better grouped in the window. I changed some pcm routes and I got it, everything works fine.

Re: Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 + Ubuntu 17.10 + KXStudio
You probably need to patch the inputs of the Focusrite Scarlett to the inputs of your recording program.
You can do that easily with "patchage" or "catia" when jack is running.
Have you checked that?
