What other apps and distros do you use to round out your studio?

Thousands of SFZ samples for LinuxSampler

Post by AnthonyCFox »

Digital Sound Factory https://www.digitalsoundfactory.com/ sells sample packs for Cakewalk Dimension which is an SFZ player. I downloaded their free Cakewalk Dimension sample pack https://www.digitalsoundfactory.com/example-downloads and the SFZ files play in LinuxSampler. Here's the sample libraries they sell https://www.digitalsoundfactory.com/dimension_products that work in LinuxSampler.

Thanks Anthony,

This is useful information. I added it to the wiki under Instruments, Samples, and Sound Effects.

That's great! Thank you. :D

If I hadn't been using Linux for so many years as my day-to-day OS I would have given up on using it for pro-audio simply because of a lack of sample libraries and it just kills me to think of how many Linux-newbies give up for that reason. Or, never even get started with it in the first place.
