FLAC support for LMMS - Arch Linux

Hi. I can't seem to be able to play samples in LMMS that are in .flac format, however, I do have flac installed, the most recent version.

Do I need to configure LMMS specifically to allow me to use flac files? If so, is this configuration doable AFTER installation, or is it necessary to do during installing? (which will require me to install it from source, but that shouldn't be a problem)

Are you calling LMMS from command line? Any specific error messages when it fails to open the flac file?

It can see the flac files, but cannot play them. There are no error messages in the terminal.

hmmm..

This might sound kinda goofy, but try to run LMMS as root and try to open a flac. Wondering if theres a group permission for your user account regarding flac or other media formats. If the same result happens and it crashes regardless of being in root, next thing I would suggest is open it up via command line "lmms -v" and see what gets said from there. Otherwise, I'm at a loss unfortunately.

Trashlord, try rebuild the pack and editing the PKGBUILD and add flac to depends.

I use Arch too and I never knew LMMS used flac... I've always thought it uses .ogg and .wav only.
