lilypond and xml export

Hi there,

is it possible to export lilypond files to xml? And if so, how?

That depends on what you want the xml to look like ;). Lilypond already has an SVG backend, and that's technically XML, but you might be looking for something a bit more 'semantical'.

There's been talk about a MusicXML backend which would likely be closer to what you're looking for, but AFAIK nobody has stepped up to write the code for this.

lilypond can´t export to xml.

There is some work afoot to do musicxml export. I dont know what you want it for but you can get the midi and read that into musescore - thought there do seem to be some problems with the midi conversion but it can be enough to get you by.

AFAIK Frescobaldi has it in progress
