A wee collection of Audio links etc.
Heya folks! I make notes on a personal wiki as I go along researching and using things. I've got an Audio page with mostly Linux and mostly free (unless I think notable) related links and such, and I thought some here might find it interesting. Am I missing something (aside from an open source clip launcher/session view style sequencer that handles both samples and MIDI)? Thanks

Re: A wee collection of Audio links etc.
I've added to and sorted the page a fair bit though the order needs more work.
Giada is closest to what I'm looking for, but it's MIDI bind system isn't as modular as now seq64 so doesn't scale. Maybe I could write a mididings script with scenes to compensate. seq64 is great for the MIDI side, though it doesn't yet do MIDI or keyboard control for record arming/through which would allow for interesting things. Still to look at SuperLooper for audio with its MIDI bindings/commands.
BPM is another thing I'm wondering about, mostly for beatmatching to external audio source, blurring a line between producing and DJing, specifically through control to one or two decimal places as in DJing software. The only things I've found that do one decimal place are jack_transport and Qtractor, though I'm not looking for a DAW, and "echo tempo 124 | jack_transport" doesn't work as a jack_transport instance needs to be set to master before altering the tempo can happen.
Currently I'm looking at plugins that sync with host tempo so I can get some interesting effect routing on the go..!

Bump. The article has been updated a fair bit since my last post.
I'm still on the quest for a midi controlled live midi sequencer/looper. I'm wondering how to build Multi-Arp.

So I split the Audio page out into:
Music
Audio
Synthesis
Sampling
MIDI/OSC
Sequencer
Tracker
Groovebox
DAW
Notation
Drumming
Radio
Streaming
Stations
Rip / Tag
Jamming
DJing
Speaker
and sorted various heading orders. a bit easier to browse now.

Very nice wiki reference, milk!
I linked to the Synthesis section, ...it might give you extra visitors too!
There are some nice synths listed on your pages; some are unfortunately outdated synths and are too old or are unable to run on my computers for one reason or another. But there are a few that I'm really curious to try out...
I'll be checking in from time to time, for sure!
