LAU websites

some of the linuxaudio websites I've visited haven't been updated for at least a year, often more (obviously the linuxaudio wiki has been updated, but the front page, in some cases (especially for newcomers) more important, hasn't), and it can give outdated and therefore actually quite misleading or false information... if anyone has access to these websites I suggest they update them.

That's my site, and I state (rather unclearly) on it that it's no longer maintained. As a matter of course I update the Csound Helpers page, and that's about all. I'll add another note to indicate more strongly that the site is closed. It's kept on-line primarily for historical purposes, I'll clarify that.

I've seen so many attempts at similar sites and projects. They usually last a few months at best. I maintained that site for ten years, it took a lot of work with little financial return, but it did act as a center for a young community. I may yet update it to something else, but at this time it is moribund. LinuxMusicians does a much better job as a community focus now.

Best,

As for the linuxaudio wiki, by all means create an account and make things better!

http://jackaudio.org/ has been recently updated. I contacted the author to suggest he get in touch with the linuxaudio wiki people to pool resources/exchange information/promote the wiki if anyone here is interested: https://github.com/jackaudio/jackaudio. ... m/issues/9
