hi there,
i know, this topic isn´t really new but there ist still a problem with it:
there are much kernels, build for installation but it doesn´t work good. everyone in the internet makes trial&error and nobody says: this works und this not. then everybody says: search the internet and you will find some kernel.
hmmm ... this ist not satisfying. debian squeeze is IMHO the best linux-distributions. i think someone should build an rt-kernel for squeeze 64-bit and 32-bit. it would work for about 3 years. i tried ubuntu-rts and it doesnt´ work. i tried debian sid rts and it doesnt work. and there ist nowhere a documentation for a "normal" person who can understand how to build this kernel.
so please, don´t say use google - i used it. please give a link to a squeeze-rt-kernel or a link to a good documentation how to modify a good kernel to a rt-kernel. it would be great, great help!
best regards
markus
ps with the right tips i would wright this missing rt-documentation!

Re: rt-kernel debioan squeeze 64-bit
hi there,
now i made a rt-kernel on my own for debian squeeze 64-bit. you can download these kernel at this location:
http://www.wuala.com/makimaki/Realtime- ... 4-bit/deb/
so, they´re all for 64-bit. in the next few days i will burn some kernel for 32-bit. the name explains what the kernel is for: all for debian squeeze, some for squeeze some for sid. some kernel are older (2.6.31/33). the best is the 2.6.39. read the readme, it´s important to know what is compilied in and what not.
i think you can use it for all other distributions that base on debian, eg AV Linux or LMDE. but: i haven´t tested it. just trial&error

now i added a 2.6.39.4-32-bit-rt kernel for debian to my wuala account. it was only short tested, so use at your own "risk".
