Hi everybody
after I close Claudia in my opinion there should be no "leftovers".
But I can't find a solution how to close/stop/finish the daemons that are left by Claudia
(because they are useless now):
3002 ? S 0:07 /usr/bin/ladiconfd
10128 ? S 0:03 /usr/bin/ladishd
Sure a kill -9 would do the job, but there should be a more gentle way, or ?
Best regards Harry

Re: KXStudio: Claudia - Ladish
I asked in #kxstudio;
[17:40] <falktx> that is how ladish works
[17:41] <falktx> ladish has a dbus API, guis talk to the daemon process over dbus
[17:41] <falktx> starting a ladish tool will always spawn those services/daemons

Hi,
thanks for casting #kxstudio

[17:41] <falktx> starting a ladish tool will always spawn those services/daemons

That's what annoys me. I don't want any spawning after my Claudia-session is over.
Most, if not every server-application running under linux can be finished completely
if one decides ...
So, is the only way to get ladish finished, a good old (and rude) kill -9 ?
Best regards
Harry

Re: KXStudio: Claudia - Ladish
Does a SIGTERM (15) do it? always that before -9 so the app can gracefully exit, -9 pulls the rug out from under the process
I guess it keeps running so the same status is returned/available when a LADISH app is reopened/opened?
Maybe it should be a systemd unit, idk.
NSM is the alternative solution for saving projects and not as tied to JACK, maybe try Argodejo+Carla? With Carla for subgraphs.
