How to safely update to Hydrogen/stable on Ubuntu Studio

Post by gregariousgus »

Hi! I'm having a terrible problem with tempo drift when driving Hydrogen from Ardour using JACK with a song that has a non integer tempo, and I noticed this in some release notes for Hydrogen 1.0.1:

`Fixed jack transport tempo drift when using non-integer bpm values`

I'm running Ubuntu Studio 20 and always use the standard software tools to keep updated. But the standard tools only deliver to me Hydrogen 1.0.0-rc1.

What are my options? I really need this bug fix, but am wary of compromising the stability of my DAW platform.

Thank you!

Hi.

I have Hydrogen 1.0.2 64bit compiled and ready to download in .deb and .tar.gz files.
It's binary goes to /usr/bin.

Note: give attention to the filename hydrogen64102 as there's another Hydrogen 1.0.2 which is especially for my private use.
