Starting pulse as part of a LADISH studio

Hi all,
If I start pulse with it looks like this: 
But if I start it with it looks like this: 
Any ideas as to why they are different? I want both ends of the pulse-jack bridge, but I would prefer to keep pulseaudio under the jurisdiction of Claudia the LADISH studio handler. Any insight/solution would be much appreciated.
