I am an old hand at Linux, but have no idea how all the software in kxstudio work.
I am new to Jack etc.
Of course I know all about recording and daws on windows but not KXstudios set of software.
I want to migrate from Windows as it seriously bites me in the @##$$%^ and I want no more of it.
If the developers that write windows software could just develop for Linux too I can leave the windows #$%^ OS behind.
So, hwere can I find an in depth tutorial how to set up a semi professional system that will
1) Provide a DAW close to e.g. cubase
2) Migrate my windows VSTs to the daw.
3) Also a live mixer equivalent to Audiobox from presonus.
4) a Jack tutorial to treat the routing with Jack it is a nightmare to get working.
I am not interested in sequencers and house beats and stuff like that. Just a classic recording and production setup to the max through external interfaces.
Thanks

Re: Advice for KXstudio in-depth tutorial
1) Try Ardour if you want an open source app, otherwise maybe Reaper or Bitwig.
2) What VSTs are you using? There are ways to run windows VSTs Linux, but you're probably better off finding native alternatives.
3) I don't know. What features does Audiobox have?
4) Try using Alsa without running Jack, unless you have a good reason to use Jack. Ardour gives you a choice between the two when you start a session.
