NetJack2: Change number of virtual channels

Post by zardini123 »

Is there a way to change the number of virtual channels using the net backend for jack?

Command on slave machine with

Code: Select all

jackd -R -S -d net -C4 -P4
Looking through the argument list, there seems to be no arguments to change virtual channels (changing send and receive channels is possible as I do above). The backend forces virtual channels 2 in and 2 out, so any DAW say Ableton or AU Lab can only pipe through max 2 in and 2 out channels. Would there still be a way to change that?

_______

I do have a ""workaround"" already figured out, where I launch the slave using the standard audio backend with as many virtual channels as I desire, and then loading

Code: Select all

jack_load netadapter
Not essentially what I would like, but is still a possibility.

Never heard of virtual channels. Are you in the windows world? Then this might be of interest:
