What do you use for your LAW?
If there are special tricks you can also paste them here (for example: How to route Pulseaudio to Jack, ...

<EDIT viewtopic.php?p=135451#p135451>

# ALSA https://alsa-project.org/wiki/Main_Page
# FFADO http://www.ffado.org/
JACK https://jackaudio.org/
PulseAudio https://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/PulseAudio/

Route Pulseaudio to JACK: Install "pulseaudio-module-jack".

I took the wrong vote. I take Jack, of course, and not "just ALSA". :-)

I'm using most time jack+pulse, sometimes only jack (often), sometimes only pulse (rare case here). All on the base of ALSA.
On the road again.

I have jack-mixer as a central jack "hub" and use jack-plumbing to disconnect all clients that try to connect to system:out and connect them to jack-mixer. So I have jack-mixer as a central point for recordings with Audacity.

I use my mainboard soundcard with pure ALSA and dmixer for consumer stuff like videos, games and music player and a PCI card with JACK for recording, mixing and midi.

For a single DAW , Alsa of course ,but if going modular and connect different apps ,I launch jack : )
Pulseaudio for everyday (non DAW) usage and can’t live without pulse anymore!

After I added PipeWire to the tuning, the counter reset to zero. ^^

PulseAudio and JACK here and been using that for a few years. I'm still highly sceptical about the current state of Pipewire although reports are starting to filter down of it being usable. PulseAudio was fairly rubbish in its neophyte years as well but has matured. I'm particularly concerned about seeing regular errors in journalctl from pipewire even though I don't use it. To be fair pulseaudio sometimes generates inconsequential errors generally related to the disabled HDMI audio in GPU. No JACK errors though. :)
