I would strongly suggest Debian. You have to optimize the system. But it has a realtime kernel in repo and the falkefx repos work as expected. Debian is also good for choosing your environment like Mate, XFCE KDe etc.. But you still have the Debian system underneath everything so you learn it once.
Also Debian is stable. Really stable.
