These have been out for a while now, and presumably the usual early driver bugs have been sorted.
Has anyone tried one of these for audio work?
If so, what's the performance like?

Greetings,

A relevant discussion on KVR :

http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=480345

I'm watching this thing too. I've always used AMD CPUs, never a problem with any Linux distro I've used to date.

Best,

Unfortunately there nothing there after early April. I've picked up various hints that things have improved considerably since then, but with no details.

Sorry, I'm currently not monitoring what happens about Ryzen. Has the Linux comunity completely solved the GCC bug of Ryzen?

It's an extremely rare and obscure bug concerning multiple compilation jobs at once, and anyone reporting this has been offered a replacement chip from AMD. It doesn't occur in new ones.

Is it a way to distinguish the new model without a bug from an old one?

Think you can look at CPU manufacturing date codes, avoid the older CPUs
