Edirol fa-66 firewire

Post by JohanvdS »

The firewire card is connected, but no sounds coming out in kxstudio14.04. It looks like as if freebob not fully installed
I am also using behringer fca202 with works out of te box, both connecting it only see the behringer. The FFado-mixer shows only one :| when it is seperated ( disconnected the fca202) edirol is seen on the ffado mixer but not any sound going out :|. It looks like it need some special software (freebob) installed or is it something else? Hope someone can give me some hints

Your device is listed as Full Support on the FFADO devices page. There should be no need for freebob. FFADO supports only one device at a time (correct?). Have a try by disconnecting the FCA202 and connecting your FA-66 alone to the computer, then launch jack by configuring it to use the FFADO driver. If you are using qjackctl, click on setup. Then, on driver, select "firewire".
