[SOLVED]No sound in any browser for the past few days

Post by aicram »

Hello Everyone,

Suddenly, have no sound in any browser. All other sound even using my yamaha235 usb and firewire fca202 works great. I update often
from the linuxmint 17.1 Rebecca updater. I suspect that changed something. Strangely my jackd2 was changed to jackd1. I changed it
back to jackd2 thinking that could make a difference. It did not. I use the kxstudio repos and cadence. Using patchage , too, which is working
well for playing my yamaha with qsampler, amsynth, qtractor, etc.

I tried the cadence reset command, then rebooted, but that did not give me sound in the browsers.

Some more info:

[SOLVED]Re: No sound in any browser for the past few days

Hello All,

This is resolved now. I have not had to even look at the alsamixer for a year. Something changed it. I checked it and saw that auto mute was enabled.
Disabled it, then after a reboot I had sound in all of the browsers. :o

I give my thanks to the devs and to the many helpers on this forum. Great site.

Gratefully,

aicram
