Hydrogen 0.9.6-beta1 released

Post by mauser »

Hi everyone!

We're happy to announce the release of Hydrogen 0.9.6-beta1, the first
development release of hydrogen 0.9.6. The new version includes some
major improvements:

- Jack midi support
- Jack session support
- Undo
- tab-based interface (optimized for netbooks)

Apart from these features, we're using now CMake for our build process.
You can start the build process by running "./build.sh m" from your
hydrogen source directory. The tarball is available on sourceforge[1]
as usual, we expect that the new version will hit the KXStudio
repository in the next days.
As always we're pretty much interested in all kind of feedback ;-)
Regards,

the hydrogen team

Hi,

Great work mauser and team. This is exciting news!

There is a package for AV Linux users here: http://bandshed.net/custom/hydrogen_0.9 ... 1_i386.deb

This package may or may not work with pure Debian (32bit) as well, but I don't guarantee it. I've only tested it with AV Linux, If you have an issue with the package itself report it at the AV Linux forum not here.

Ubuntu users should probably wait for falkTX's packages.

Thanks for the quick package support!!! How long does it take to make one?
Is there a generic how2 package article? (I'll google for one)
hahaha, they are everywhere! Put "debian packaging tutorial" in google.

Now if I can figure out the steps, and dodge the gotchas...remains to be seen.
I finally bought a 20lb linux manual, which is actually well presented, with good
cross-referencing. (wife raises eyebrows while looking in her wallet  )
