Arpage, a MIDI arpeggiator

Post by autostatic »

Maybe an arpeggiator tool like this already existed, LMMS can do it and PHASEX too, but not the way Arpage can I reckon. I made a little screencast of Arpage in action, together with Yoshimi. The cool thing about Arpage is that it has 4 channels and fully JACK compliant so you can hook up anything to it. I like it, but I happen to like arpeggios. Arpeggios are cool.

original app.. I was trying to imagine how it would sound like used along with minicomputer
Maybe I'll try when I have time.
I've seen you use the MIDI tab in qjackctl instead of the ALSA one. Is there any difference ? I always use the ALSA one. I thought is the one that should be used for routing midi.

Cheers,

Gerard.

Hello Gerard, I use the MIDI tab because Yoshimi doesn't use ALSA for MIDI, it uses JACK for MIDI. And that's the main difference, the ALSA tab is for apps that use ALSA as the backend for MIDI and the MIDI tab is for apps that use JACK as the MIDI backend.
And I'm going to try minicomputer, it was already on my list of synths I'd like to try, together with mx44.
