A the new version of B.Oops is out now. With really a lot of new features:

* New slot shape mode: Controlled by a user-defined shape instead of a pattern
* New slot keys mode: Controlled by user-defined MIDI events instead of a pattern
* New pattern randomization
* Fx
** New Banger
** New EQ
** Tremolo: Waveform option
** Oops: New sample
* Default optimization flags `-O3 -ffast-math` for compiling DSP
* Improved binary compatibility / portability using static libs
* User friendly hiding patterns for inactive slots
* New presets
* New: Provide binary packages
* Bugfixes
** Fix pattern Y flip glitches
** Correctly X flip merged pads
** Fix paste merged pads causing overlaps
** Bugfix remove slots may cause segfault

Thanks to the community for the ideas and suggestions. B.Oops has now got more features than any commercial and closed-source effect sequencer! And you can further contribute to this project. E. g., by sharing your presets: viewtopic.php?f=40&t=23509 .

Thank you @sjaehn! I have a question, as someone who hasn't had the chance to try it in depth (yet, I hope :oops:). Can something like the "Stutter edit" by BT be done with B.Oops?

There is some overlap between SE(2) and B.Oops. Lots of effects you can create with stutter edit you can also make with B.Oops. But there is a different working principle and a different workflow.

Both plugins can use shapes to modulate effects. Whereas SE(2) can modulate all effect parameters, B.Oops "only" modulates the mix of the effects. SE(2) might be more dynamic. If you look for a FOSS LV2 plugin that modulates parameters, then take a look at the still unfinished B.Shapr. But B.Oops allows multiple instances of an effect with different parameters. Thus you may get similar results as with SE(2).

The core of SE(2) is the very powerful stutter effect. B.Oops has got three effects implemented to create stutter effects: Tremolo, Chopper, Stutter.

In contrast to SE(2), the B.Oops workflow is pattern-based. Like Effectrix and Glitch2. You can additionally use shapes (like in SE(2)) or MIDI controls. And there are much more build-in effects.

Wow! This is great! But are there any plans for a VST/VST3?

I do not plan for VSTs YET. I'll look for LV2 on other platforms first. But I don't know where I'll go in the future. Maybe I'll port the B.Music plugins to DSP. But B.Oops will not be the first plugin. Too complex.
