Bipscript v0.12 now available

Post by VanHammen »

Bipscript is a scripting language for music creation, features include headless LV2 plugin hosting and advanced MIDI sequencing.

Version 0.12 includes new string methods and a new regular expression type, now available here:
* Interpreter: https://gitlab.domainepublic.net/bipscr ... -/releases
* IDE: https://gitlab.domainepublic.net/bipscr ... -/releases

This release is currently source only, help with packaging is always appreciated :)

Documentation and other information can always be found at www.bipscript.org, there is a new issue tracker, bug reports are appreciated and feature requests also welcome.

Questions and discussion also welcome on the algorithmic music board on this site.

Been following it for a while, great project, glad it is getting new releases!

I am making an openSUSE package for it but I can't compile it on my system because of the portsmf dependency. I need to make an openSUSE package for it, but it would be even better if it were included statically.

I notice portsmf also causes issues with the Arch build, I agree it should be either included statically or replaced, will try to solve this by the next release:

Thank you for packaging and valuable feedback!

OK v0.13 was just tagged, it is a maintenance release with small bug fixes and removes the portSMF dependency as promised.
