DiscoDOS 1.0 released - DJ Vinyl Geek Alert!

Post by J0J0 »

The final 1.0 version of DiscoDOS was just released. I am very happy to announce this on linuxmusicians.com, probably the best audience for a rather geeky and unique type of software like this.

DiscoDOS is a command line tool that helps Vinyl DJs to organise their set-lists, find out key and BPM and search the collection. It's based on a personal record collection kept at discogs.com and uses https://musicbrainz.org and https://acousticbrainz.org for additional data fetching.

Download, install, read more: https://discodos.jojotodos.net

Give it a try, tell me what you think!

Also head over to the roadmap section at https://discodos.jojotodos.net#roadmap, I have some ideas in mind on how to integrate it with digital DJ software (like Mixxx). As I am a person who does both, analog and digital DJing, this is a priority to myself as well. Anyway I would also like to kindly ask about opinions about the tool in general and collect ideas of what could be improved, what features are missing. Any feedback is welcome. Thanks in advance!
