songrec-rename - automated renaming/ID of music files

Post by danboid »

songrec-rename is a shell script to automate the naming of music files. It uses the open source Shazam client songrec to identify tracks.

songrec-rename accepts wav, flac, ogg and mp3 files as input.

Today I updated songrec-rename to support adding id3 tags (album name, year etc) to any mp3 files it recognises if you have id3tool installed.

I've finally fixed the only known issue with srr, it no longer attempts to rename directories.

It only took me a few minutes, sorry about the wait!
