Oleg, we from GeekosDAW are blown away by these programs! Can we do something for you? Provide some profiles perhaps?

Edit: it was me on the Plugins Pack issue tracker, I really believe having a generic "Plugins-Pack" in the name doesn't do justice to the great stuff it contains!

Thank you!

It will be a great help if you try to create a *. tapf profile from any real tube amp.
Profiling algorythms are very tricky and I have a lack of testing on the real equipment.

I started this project 2 years ago as literally a "plugin package". I was planning to add the "designer" functionality to the tubeAmp plugin itself, but then I gave up on the idea and created a separate standalone application.

Then I added spiceAmp, and now I'm working on an open hardware guitar processor. So the name KPP is no longer appropriate for the entire project as you mentioned it. But I don't want to change it right now, in the middle of the 1.x branch. I will give a new name starting from version 2.0 of the suite.

Hi Oleg,

That's exactly the same binary file that I am using. I get the following error messages when running it via terminal:

Hi, @Rodney!

I get the same messages when I run this file as root. Are you launching it as regular user, not root, and not from the Root Terminal?

@Rodney, could you try this version https://kpp-tubeamp.com/files/tubeAmp_D ... 4.AppImage please?

I built it on an older processor on which the main version doesn't work for me either.

Dear Oleg,

I tried both files in both root and regular terminals, unfortunately none of them work. On the latest file I get several erros regarding GLIBC_2.30 and GLIBC_2.29 not found.

Go figure :?

@Rodney, I localized the problem - this is illegal instruction error in zita-convolver library. The error occures on some processors,
I found one machine that I have the same problem with as you have.
I am trying to find a solution.

Which one instruction? Have you looked into the disassembly code?

I haven't looked into the disassembly yet.

But I seem to have found a stupid mistake - I built zita-convolver with -march=native

But that would be interesting to see instruction that caused the crash.

I'll take a look, but I don't have access to the problematic machine till Tuesday.

I will post the result here then.

Hi Oleg!

Good news, finally it worked! The latest file you told me to use now is perfect. Thanks for you hard work! Once I profile my amp I will send the file.

Thanks a lot
