I have added it to the official "Applications Supporting NSM" site.

Are you the author? If so, thank you very much not only for maintaining it so far, but for amsynth in general.

It's probably the best sounding synth out of the box (my personal opinion) that doesn't require a lot of fiddling to make nice sounds. It also ships with some nice presets, although I find the way they are organized and named a bit confusing, there are very interesting sounds but with names like "WantsToSing3" they are really hard to find. Maybe a categorization (like ZynsubaddFX does) would help? Is is something for which a pull request can be made?

I just noticed on my LinuxMint 17.3 "Rosa" PC that amsynth in the distros is version 1.3.2-2. :(
I'm aware that my distro is now needing an upgrade to 19, but until a few months ago it was getting regular updates.

Thanks! I am the author and maintainer, and it's great to hear that people are still getting enjoyment out of amsynth :D

I agree that preset categories and a browser interface would be a big improvement, and something that's been discussed in the past

It would be a fair amount of work, though... help is always appreciated  If you're interested in contributing, let me know!
