[ANN] QmidiCtl 0.5.2 - An(other) Early Summer'18 Release

Postby rncbc » Sat Jun 30, 2018 2:30 pm

Hello there!

QmidiCtl 0.5.2 (early summer'18) is out!

Image

QmidiCtl is a MIDI remote controller application that sends MIDI data over the network, using UDP/IP multicast. Inspired by multimidicast (http://llg.cubic.org/tools) and designed to be compatible with ipMIDI for Windows (http://nerds.de). QmidiCtl has been primarily designed for the Maemo enabled handheld devices, namely the Nokia N900 and also being promoted to the Maemo Package repositories. Nevertheless, QmidiCtl may still be found effective as a regular desktop application and as an Android application as well.

That's great news ; BTW, have you considered making the package available on F-Droid? It's a really cool non-google software repository for Android, focused on FLOSS ; exactly what QmidiCtl is :)

yes i have but given the mambo-jambo you have to spell to setup one f-droid repository... sorry, just turned head away and to gg-play (and aptoide) which is way simpler to upload a signed .apk and presto! :)

cheers and thanks

ps. still and forever free anyway ;)

pps. btw. qmidictl doesn't give a sh*t to your personal data, so it's dang & pretty innocuous on most if not all privacy standards but well, just RAW MIDI pr0n indeed ;) do you have a problem with that? yeah, old-school, no frikin' hipsters'round here
