Have you ever considered stripping down a Suse release to
just the linux barebones, a web browser, package manager and your sweets?
Like a liteweight rebirth of the historic JAD distro. Would make for
a fun and useful portable system. (in your spare time, of course :wink: )

That looks pretty cool. I may need to use a government computer's speedy network,
but it looks like they have the customization system in place. And coupled with
the open build service, adding newer apps would be less problematic.
